In this example project, bottles are filled and packed in cases on two parallel packaging lines. One line is used to fill small bottles and one line is used to fill large bottles.
After the bottles are packed into boxes, they are sealed and placed on an outflow conveyor.
The boxes must travel a great distance to the palletizer, a piece of equipment that stacks the boxes on pallets.
From there, the pallet travels a few feet into a stretch wrapper, which prepares the pallet for shipping by wrapping a strong plastic film around the stacked boxes.
When the boxes reach the palletizer area, the smaller boxes need to be sent to Palletizer A and the larger boxes need to be sent to Palletizer B.
This will require sensors that can be set to detect box size so that boxes can be diverted to the correct palletizer from the common transport conveyor.
