  • Do I need a license for the software used in this course?

    No, the CODESYS IDE used in this course is available to download and use for free with no restrictions.

  • Do I need access to a physical PLC to follow this course?

    You can follow 80% of this course without access to a physical PLC.
    Some lessons include a section about hardware. To get the most value from these lessons, we recommend that you purchase a Wago CC100 PLC Starter Kit, but this is completely optional.

  • Do I need any previous PLC programming experience to follow this course?

    This course deals with a range of CODESYS topics from beginner to advanced.
    To follow all of the sections, you may need to have a basic understanding of PLC programming in CODESYS. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend that you follow the RealPars course CODESYS 1: Introduction to PLC Programming before following the advanced lessons in this course.
