Description

This is a comprehensive course introducing participants to Industrial Plant Safety Concepts. Participants are introduced to widely recognized industrial Safety terms and standards including Emergency Shutdown Systems, Safety Instrumented Systems, and Safety Integrity Levels. A solid introduction is provided on Safety PLCs, Interlock systems, and Intrinsic Safety.

This course also removes some of the mystery around electrical grounding. The course also covers the basics of Fire Alarm Systems. Comprehensive lessons on Uninterruptable Power Supplies and Redundant Power Supplies found in most PLC cabinets as well as a lesson on Ingress Protection are included.
