I just want to bump this thread for new Rockwell Automation (RA)/Allen Bradley content and because we really need Allen Bradley content.
The only thing I was interested in was Rockwell Automation (RA)/Allen Bradley content and for the most part. As I'm in the U.S and 99.99% of all our industrial customers/EPC customers and the systems we integrate as well upgrade are all Rockwell Automation hardware. My subscription has lapsed as I did an initial subscription for 1 year. I figured there was lots of content for me to look at and learn. But then I realized that it was mostly Siemens. I can understand that as the content started mostly with Siemens systems. I just never realized that they wasn't much Rockwell Automation content at that time, but I was hopeful. Still today there isn't that much content for Rockwell Automation hardware/software. I think 2 videos was added to the Allen Bradley course as I saw cleaning out my email box during the Pandemic shutdown with something to do cleaning out my mail. Though learning other aspects of Automations can be useful and for a wider view of process automations control, its the systems that I work on day in day out that is most appealing and useful to me to learn of.
For the 1 year that I had my subscription I think I visited the site for the first 1-2 months here and there and then for the rest of that subscription I didn't really revisit much at all. Why, there wasn't much for Rockwell Automations/Allen Bradley content that was of interest. Thus overall I feel I wasted my subscription, but it is what it is as I had other demands on my time and traveling for work projects. Siemens systems isn't one I ever see much or work on for our industrial customers. And though it would seem interesting to learn about Step 7 Software, the truth is its not installed at any of our customers the hardware, we don't use Siemens. The system to learn of and most valued regardless is the one you work on at your own company and for us that's entirely Rockwell Automations/Allen Bradley hardware/software.
Today I logged in here for the first time for the year and since i was checking my email to see that my subscription had cancelled. But also logged in just to check to see what's new for video content for RA hardware components/software. There still isn't much. Please make it a priority to really add some RA Video content. And though I can't speak for anyone else, I'm highly sure that there are lots of people that have visited here feels the same for the lack of video content for RA/Allen Bradley hardware components/software.
To be really honest and for someone like me that works exclusively on RA hardware/software, there isn't much reason to do a year subscription. There is only just 1 Allen Bradley course at that with now 13 videos. A year ago when I subscribed that same course had 11 videos I believe. So the value for a year subscription or even for a few months is not for RA users and integrators.
