Is there a plan for making video series about instrument Calibration?

Are you looking for a video series on general instrument calibration or calibration on specific instruments?
If you are interested in specific instruments, can you please say which ones?

You are correct in all of your calculations and assumptions for the PT100 RTD. As I’m sure you are aware, each and every RTD is unique. When you purchase an RTD, its true rated Sensitivity should be provided to you. May RTD’s will arrive with a tag attached indicating its Sensitivity. When I’m not sure of a PT100’s actual sensitivity, I use a generalized value of 0.4 ohms per degree C. For example, based on measuring 115 ohms as you state, I would calculate an approximate temperature of: (115 ohms – 100 ohms) / .4 ohms per degree C = 37.5.

The temperature coefficient, or alpha, has to do with the physical and electrical property of the RTD.
Alpha describes the average resistance change per unit of temperature from 0°C(ice point) to +100°C(boiling point) of water.
For example, the nominal alpha of a PT100 RTD is .00385Ω/Ω/°C.
Resistance at the boiling point (100ºC) =138.50 Ω.
Resistance at ice point (0ºC) = 100.00 Ω.
Divide the difference (38.5 Ω) by 100 degrees and then divide by the 100 Ω value of the RTD.
The result is 0.00385 Ω per Ω per ºC.
