Good morning all, I'm currently building a portable test box for a HVAC based around a 1214C CPU and KTP700 display. This project is to get me back into the world of PLC's, as it has been many years since I've worked with them, I've already found there is a awful lot I have forgotten!
I'm having problems going online with the CPU via TIA portal V15. For a physical connection to the PLC, I have used both direct to the ethernet port on my main computer, and with a USB/RJ45 adaptor on laptop into the X1 on the PLC. I have the same issue on both computers, so I think this will be a set-up issue.
I can see the PLC as an accessible device, but it shows as incompatible. In extended go online mode, when searching for devices with same address, nothing is shown. when searching for compatible devices, it shows the CPU, but the address is purple, and it says 'incompatible device at address 192.168.0.1'. If you try to go online, it fails to connect. If you search for all accessible devices, it shows the CPU, but again it fails to connect when you attempt to go online.
I've made a new project so I can mess around with a few things without worrying about messing up the proper programme. In this, I have changed the IP address of the CPU in the project to 192.168.0.2, and assigned this address to the CPU. In extended go online mode, it shows the CPU with the new address, but it is still incompatible.
In the project, I have added connectivity with the automatic profinet settings.
Does anyone have any idea what I need to do to get online with the CPU? (i tried the same with a direct connection on the HMI, and had the same issue).
I am using TIA portal V15.1, CPU is a 1214C 6ES7 214-1HG40-0XB0, and HMI is KTP700 6AV2 123-2GB03-0AX0.
