I didn't want to make a new thread, so I figure I just look down the list and comment in a previous one that's very much related to the same topic for New Courses or Course Videos. As many these old threads, I've read as well for the issues of others.
There needs to be a way to either identify or post the NEW weekly videos or New Courses area for the relevant subscribers to know. As well for those not subscribed to even know if they are interested in the course so they too can possibly subscribe if they so choose. My personal main issue is there needs to be a way on the Website Course/Video or on the Forum posting to just say or identify what new Videos/Courses were posted.
Even a Moderator posting in a Video/Course sticky thread that they only can post in can serve to update what Videos or Courses were added on that day or week.
I've been an avid user of this site watching the various Courses (AB-Rockell mostly) and I've watched literally everything related to AB-Rockwell. All of it! So, I just not visit the site for a couple of weeks, yet I'm still very much aware regardless that weekly there are a few videos or courses whichever one is being posted to the site.
As a subscriber, I'm also aware of the email that gets sent to notify active subscribers that either a new course is posted on the site or a new video or two of a current course series are posted on the site. I'll admit I don't often read emails as they just pile up.
So, when I myself revisit the site and look around, even as an avid user who knows how to find what I want, I too have to try and decipher where the new Videos are and what the new course is. Now, I can tell in certain ways because I know what I have previously watched and do very much remember how many videos were in some courses, as well because I commented on them.
I can remember some courses being 4 videos, 12 videos, or 49 videos in the Micrologix courses. Thus when I click to See All videos, I look at the video count and then I determine, oh wait they added 1 video to this course so I guess i need to watch the last video on this particular course. I can see the PCS7 Courses are New. I can tell videos were added to the Allen Bradley Advanced Courses over the last few weeks, several in fact.
So what i'm saying is there is no real way to identify to me that they were new videos vs what I have previously watched. Nor is it easily identifiable. I have to figure that out in my mind by my own logic. Even a section on the main website that only lists recent new videos added (updated) or New Courses added with some highlighter can help. The purple line at the bottom of the videos doesn't always help either for a previous video watched.
So this is an issue that needs some relevant attention for literally everyone that's a subscriber. New Videos posted, New Courses need some way to be easily identified or posted on the forums what new has been posted so it is far easier for others to identify and go view at their own interest.
If I as an avid user who knows how to usually find stuff has challenges identifying specific courses that are new and exactly what new videos were added to previous existing courses, how challenging is it already for newer subscribers to just find the courses, let alone identify what's new or updated? So this needs to be looked at and made easier to identify for some specific amount of time what's considered NEW.
