In the previous lesson we began describing how to use a Profinet-DP network within your control system. As discussed, you are going to place a remote station on the factory floor that will be used with your remote field devices.
That remote station is going to need an I/O station communicator. There are many products offered for use by different manufacturers. For our purposes we are going to be using the ET200 that is offered by Siemens.
