In this lesson, we continue where we left off in the lesson titled: An Introduction to Allen Bradley Using Studio 5000 Logix Developer.
That lesson had us launching software, opening the create dialog and making some selections that created our base project.
We’ll start by opening and reviewing the project file that we created in the Studio software environment. We will look into that created project to find the I/O Configuration folder and expand it to find that it already has a backplane and a PLC placed in slot 0.
There are a couple of different ways to add components to the I/O Configuration and we are going to show you how to do that. We will walk you through the module selection process and discuss the different parameters that are required before clicking the done button. This lesson is certainly going to give you a good introduction to the component adding process.
Get out your PC, launch your Studio software, launch this lesson and get started adding I/O modules to project.
