In a continuation of previous lessons where we’ve been working with the Logic instructions of AND, OR, XOR, and Invert, this lesson will go into some detail about comparing values using the XOR instruction. We will be determining if two values are identical and if they are not, we will need to activate an alarm indicating that there is a deviation between the two values that we are comparing. This logic comes in handy when you need to ensure that two of your process devices are behaving identical to one another. For instance, if you need to determine that a temperature on device A is measuring the same temperature as that of device B, this is some coding that you may use. Let’s jump in and do some more XORcising.
